Being raised in south west Queensland has given my artists’ eye an in-depth appreciation of the power of place and space. My journey began as an oil painter, but my tertiary education majoring in Interior Design has influenced my evolution as an artist. My art is a melting pot of pursuits with photography playing an integral part in the development of my work. I was extremely honoured to be selected as a finalist in the inaugural Collie Art Prize in 2018. The challenge involved in exploring the theme of "Identity" was a process I embraced. I am currently developing a photographic journal that encompasses a three year study on native orchards during October from one location in Darkan, Western Australia. The journal reflects seasonal influences and how these influence the flowering times, quality of blooms and the diversity of species.
