Nathan Day is a designer/ maker who harks back to the days before CNC machinery, when furniture was created by true craftsmen. Though he now lives in a world dominated by industrial design and automated, mass production, Nathan believes in the virtues of handcrafted, bespoke woodwork.
Apprentice to a master craftsman and trained by some of England's finest furniture makers, Nathan has honed his skills over 20 years and developed a distinct design style that is pared back and minimal and ultimately seeks to showcase the natural beauty of classic furniture hardwoods like Oak, Walnut and Jarrah.
Nathan Day Design was established in 2010 in Yallingup, in South West Western Australia, before relocating to Vasse and into a purpose built workshop and retail space in 2018. The business employs a team of skilled craftsmen who undertake projects covering private residential commissions, bespoke lighting, through to larger scale commercial projects and boardroom tables.
