Jillian Warnock

As a contemporary visual artist, I am searching for the inherent qualities of light, colour and form that comprises the basic elements of beauty and to reflect the world around me. With a multimedia approach incorporating painting, installation and photography I create layers that explore these aesthetic qualities and reveal them in abstraction. I paint initially on acetate or Perspex, I then create an installation in a selected environment which I then photograph and video, subsequently printing onto a variety of materials. My inspiration is drawn from both natural and urban environments and is strongly influenced by topical issues.
