I like to use bright and energetic colours, experiment with layering techniques to create something unique. When I reflect on my work it is obvious my inspiration comes from the beautiful colours of the Bay and the coastal community that surrounds me.
Dawn studied fine art in the UK in the 1970s and majored in printmaking. She has worked with acrylics and pastels but is always drawn back to boldness of printing. She is inspired by the light and colour of her surroundings.

I always enjoyed being creative but only found the time to actively pursue art, when I relocated to Busselton ten years ago. During a recent Illustration course I discovered the love for creating detailed black and white pencil drawings as well as simplified ink sketches using mainly animals as my subjects.
